For sleep, keep the crib to a fitted sheet and a wearable blanket; loose blankets, bumpers and pillows are for play and decoration outside the crib. Sleep sacks are rated by TOG (warmth), which is noted on product pages where the brand provides it.

Only a firm mattress and a fitted sheet, with the baby on their back. Use a wearable blanket or swaddle instead of loose blankets, following American Academy of Pediatrics guidance.
